DIY Rustic Juniper Pitcher Vase Arrangement
There are few things I love more in this world than anything rustic and DIY. This rustic DIY juniper pitcher vase arrangement is the perfect budget project for anyone looking to make a design statement in any room. If you have access to juniper clippings, the whole project will cost you about $10.
Grab your garden shears, head off to your source of juniper (or other evergreen type plant) and take a few tip clippings — bonus points if you walk or bike. Try and choose sections that are full, and come to a nice point. You won’t want to take two sections from the same branch, as your second cutting would have a blunt end (from where you just cut).
Next, get some type of rustic pitcher vase. Mine is SOCKERÄRT from IKEA. It was $9.99. You can definitely use any kind of vessel you like, this one from IKEA, a thrifted one, or even a hand-me-down. Now, these IKEA vases look pretty ‘new’, so if you wanted to give it a more rustic look, you could either sand down the edges/mouth opening, or you could take some diluted black paint, and dry brush around the edges to give it an aged look as well. I opted to keep mine as is, which made for a super easy DIY.
Now, cut your juniper clippings and trim off the bottom bit of foliage so that several branches will fit in the vase. This is a similar process to prepping flowers for a vase. My goal was to end up with a vase full of juniper that looked full and had some height to it. Next, style in your bathroom and voila! A super easy DIY juniper pitcher vase arrangement that was super cheap, and really makes a statement. Thanks for reading.
