At Home Weaving Studio

When you don’t have a designated studio space outside of your home, you have to improvise! I have designated an area of my basement my ‘studio’. It houses my loom, an Ikea IVAR shelving unit which holds my yarns, my computer, my sewing machine and lots of my other art supplies.

One of the reasons this shelving unit works so well for me is that it’s modular, so I can move the shelves around to different heights and configurations. My favorite section is the one that holds all of my yarns. Look at all of that natural color! I mean, come on… nature is awesome.
